Nilong was born in Germany and has been living in Australia on the beautiful Sunshine Coast since 2004.
Her first connection with Mantra and Devotional Music was made in 1993 when she started practicing Yoga and Meditation. The sense of relaxation and peacefulness she was experiencing as a result of Meditation and singing Kirtan (devotional chanting), was the beginning of her joyful journey to explore the quality of the heart. Sharing Music became one of the most uplifting tools to share this quality with herself and others.
When Nilong met her Guru Shantimayi in 1996, her understanding and love for Mantra and 'Singing from the heart" deepened. Being with Shantimayi and visiting India over the last eight years formed a strong source of inspiration. It is through this inspiration that she discovered voice as her Sacred Instrument that expresses an energy of peace and heartfelt gratitude to everything that is.
Nilong met her husband Arjuna in India in 2003. Together they explored the sacred quality of Devotional Music and they started playing their unique sounds in 2006.
As well as vocals Nilong plays Tampura (indian string instrument), guitar and tibetan singing bowl.
"I feel tremendously blessed to be able to experience and share Devotional Music as part of my spiritual path. It is through sharing the things that touch our hearts that we can participate in overcoming separation and develop a sense of togetherness and oneness in this world."
